Hey now, let’s not get all crazy-talkin’ here. I said it was becoming attractive to invext in BOTH systems. I made no mention of switching. And as nice as the new Canon 5D MkII might -or might not – be, the Nikon strobe system is still infinitely superior.

Yep, I was going to say the same, being the Cannonista that I am, but Brad beat me to it. Feel free to switch on over to Nikon. Please sell me all your Cannon lenses when you do so I can use them with the new, sure to be superior, Canon 5D Mark II. *:^)*

I love that Nikon kit — so drool-worthy! That would be my next camera if I had one single piece of Nikon gear. But I don’t, so it won’t. (Uh, any time soon, at least…) I wouldn’t get too concerned yet though — I’m expecting press leaks on the 5D Mark II any day now. I bet Nikon did the D700 just to preempt that camera, and I expect the Canon model will be pretty snazzy. Of course it all depends on whether you can/want to wait that long — ’cause stores are already taking pre-orders for the D700…

Seriously (ok not seriously because both Donnie and Deke can be very amusing and not so serious) I glad you mention these more entertainment than training resources. It takes an expert who has burned hours in front of a Photoshop interface to make this stuff so damn funny.
