Old Time Snapshot Video Tutorial

July 29th, 2008

This is a first for me folks, so be gentle. It’s rough, but I do better in front of an audience, so that’s why.

Click on the image above and it should play the video. This is not the most comprehensive tutorial, it assumes you know your way around the PS interface and I don’t hold your hand. Furthermore it’s a pretty small video, but like I said, it’s my first time. Some of you will just like it for the mellow, soothing sounds of my sultry voice. Others will like it for the awkward silences. Still others because if you watch really, really carefully you might learn something. No guarantees.

I’d be happy to do more of these and get a little better at it, so if there’s something you’re just dying to learn, drop me a comment and I’ll do what I can to make it happen.

It was quite good, imho. Can I ask a stupid question though? How do I make the video bigger on my screen? It was pretty tiny, and it would have been nice to see it better.

I enjoyed the video and hope to see more. I am still a PS novice so not only is the step-by-step process helpful, but so is being able to witness the overall rhythm and pace of a PS expert at work- because as you may guess, I have no “CS3 social life”.

David, it does seem a little small. Hard to see what you were doing. Also, Windows users would have to install Quicktime to be able to see it, which I couldn’t do at work for example.

Well David, I certainly enjoyed it. Being your first time I thought it was great. The video was small, a larger size would have been nice, and no, it wasn’t the longest tutorial ever, I’ve seen much longer. In some cases it was a good thing, and in others it was like pulling teeth, but yours wasn’t the latter case. Definitely would enjoy seeing more screencasts from you.
