Thanks the reminder David! The world definitely needs more compassion and generosity. It’s so easy to get caught up in our selfish lives and complain about our somewhat “ridiculous problems”. (I mean, “ridiculous”, in comparison with how most of the world lives).

Beautiful blog. It’s hard to understand reality like this until you view it first hand. I have always been blessed with what I have and that is because I know first hand what it is to be poor. I always try to make others understand how privileged they are but it never synchs in until they witness it first hand. Photography (and videography) is one way for humans to see the struggles others endure, but until you have a child that has absolutely nothing look directly into your eyes, you will never understand. I wish more of us could go back to basics.

I really enjoy your blogs and hopefully I will make it to Nepal one of these days.

Thank you for this David. This reminder is sorely needed in developed countries, where we are so focussed on the self, and serving our own lusts and desires.

Please keep it up. We have a responsibility to speak out for the weak, the downtrodden and oppressed.
