April 2009 Wallpaper

March 31st, 2009

april2009wallpaper

Your desktop wallpaper for April.  I shot it in Old Havana, CUBA.

This image is 1280×853 (click it for the larger file). If you want a larger one, click HERE for a 2560×1600 version.

Now, I get a tonne of downloads on these desktop wallpapers and a couple folks have made comments in passing that they’d love to be able to use favourite wallpapers longer than a month without looking at a long out-of-date calendar. If you download this one, or you often do, would you leave comment and just tell me whether you like the monthly calendar being on there or just prefer me to remove it? Hey, I live to serve.

Enjoy.

You should put all your wallpapers on a seperate section of the blog/site, so folks can see a gallery and download them if desired.

I prefer without the calendar, since I’ve got a “widget” that overlays a calendar popup already, when I press a certain key combination. :)

An online gallery of your wallpapers would be nice, and publicity is always good. For maximum google exposure, each one should include a paragraph paragraph about where, when, how the photo was taken, in regular text.

Thanks David! Not to wish my time away but I sure do look forward to the beginning of a new month to get my calendar.

I download it but I do resize it . For me it is like the real world version of a wall calendar verses a desk calendar. Other than that, I like it just the way it’s served, thank you very much :)

Hi, maybe you could even put a little applet that let’s you select the picture you want and the possibility to leave the calendar completely out, or just select the month/year you want?

    Nice pictures,
    greetings

    Hi David,

I like the wallpapers with calendar. I have yours, Matt Brandon’s, Gavin Gough’s and sometimes others all in a folder marked current month wallpapers, with the images on a timed rotation. Like Sabrina, I look forward to seeing what you will post every month. Thanks!

I love it the way it is – even if I’m often confused because your week starts on Sunday and ours on Monday :-)

Love the wallpaper AND calendar concept. First time I have seen this and just got off the phone with my pro photog friend telling him how brilliant I thought this was as a marketing tool.

I love this one – can’t wait to see it in person! I like having a new one every month, it’s exciting, and for a while the people at work think that I took it, which is nice, then I have to correct them and point them in the right direction :)

Variety is the spice of life…I say keep the calendars…forces change which is a good thing.

I don’t use the calendar very much but I love getting the pictures. If they didn’t have a calendar I’d probably keep them in some sort of rotating wallpaper thing. So I guess if given a choice, I’d say no calendar. (But I’m not picky.)
