Hi David! Love your blog, WTF and your personality. You’re a big inspiration.

I’ve got a question about the R-strap. Is it a bad idea to attach it on my 5D body while using a 70-200 2.8 IS? Cause in the pictures they’ve attached it to the lens, but I reckon it would be very uncomfortable holding the lens in that case.

David- I downloaded and read your ebook TEN, over the weekend. It is a great, short, precise and informative. I have been making mediocre pictures for waaaay too long and “TEN” has given me some insight to what I need to take my photos to the next level. Many thanks.
I am leaving for a Mediterranean cruise in a couple of weeks and plan on making lots of pictures, some I will hope to share.

I don’t give a s*** about your grammar but I gotta say I’m liking your blog and am gonna be checking up on it a lot in the near future. I just got my copy of Within the Frame and I’m loving that too…so far.

Would you consider doing an article on choosing poses or angles for portraits? Besides looking closely through the viewfinder on how the person’s face looks, I often end up discovering good or more often, not-so-good ways to photograph somebody.

I know there’s no hard and fast rule we can follow all the time, it’d be nice if you shared with us how you would usually approach this problem, without putting yourself out of your job! =]

Thanks, but I don’t know any high school English teachers. Generally my tactic is to create good content, throw grammatical caution to the wind, and then allow people with too much time on their hands to correct me. And it’s David, not Dave.
