Oct2009Wallpaper

Here’s the October wallpapers in both 2560×1600 and 1280×853, shot in the Nubra Valley, India, not far from the Pakistan border this September. I shot it using a Singh-Ray Blue-Gold Polarizer, a 3-stop ND grad, and three camels, during the Lumen Dei Tour in Ladakh. :-)

Click the image above to get the small wallpaper, and HERE to get the large one. Enjoy!

LOVE what the filters add to the image. It feels like the falloff is a little much in the upper left corner, which makes for a bit of a distraction. If the vignette is something you applied in post, I’d be very interested to see what it looks like with about 50% less.
    Still, great image!

LOL @ Jeff Chapman! Are you sure? Did you check the McNally aisle?

@ Chris. They have helicopters, elephants and film noir sets in the B&H McNally wing, but, unfortunately, no camels. Yet!

Love the monthly wallpaper (as always) … but I do have one request for the future … would it be possible to include the location on the image (maybe under the website/copyright or next to the calendar)?

How do I get the 1280 x 853 version? I only find tiny (linked from the image at the top of the post) or huge (the link in the post).
