Thank you so much for publishing these. My eye is much more inspired, without spending money on gear, largely because of you. I took a photograph last weekend in Hyde Park that I spent about 10 minutes setting up, getting my angle right, the background, looking and thinking…click. The National Geo photographers don’t have to look over their shoulders for me, but I’m *a lot* further along this journey than I was at the start of 2009. Thank you.

Finally got around to reading it last night. Very nice interview with Chris Orwig. What I appreciate most is the way that you understand that photography is an integral part of ones life, not something apart from life. I think that it is important to learn our craft. However, beyond that, it is as we deepen and grow as compassionate human beings that we become photographers with substance.

Thanks to all of you for such an overwhelming response! I’m running a bit ragged right now between back-to-back Africa trips and I haven’t taken the time to properly thank you. Your support on this stuff is deeply gratifying, and in this case allows me to partner with some pretty amazing people – you – to do something bigger than ourselves, and that humbles me. I’m hoping to do a bit of a story on this school, just as soon as I get some images. I wasn’t shooting the day we were there. I was engaged in listening, a rare thing for me

Thanks again. Please spread the love about these ebooks. Tell the world. My dream is to one day sustain myself entirely from their sales, which would free me to pursue more pro-bono work and more opportunities to serve communities like the one we’re helping now in Kenya.
