David duChemin
:: Matt Brandon
David duChemin has been telling stories with his camera for
over twenty years. It started with a Voigtlander rangefinder
purchased at a garage sale and just never ended. His dream in
highschool was to shoot for National Geographic so he traded
an awkward social life for long hours in a darkroom. National
Geographic never called and he went off to Theology College
and emerged five years later to pursue a career in comedy. Go
figure.
Now a full-time humanitarian and travel photographer David splits
his year between his home in Vancouver and international assignments
for organizations like World Vision. David has shot in a fantastic
variety of places - from Ethiopia to Mongolia to Congo to Nepal
and places in between. David is on staff with the Travel
Photographers Network.
A gifted teacher with a passion for communication and great
storytelling, His portfollio can be seen at pixelatedimage.com.
